The following are scans of the programme for RAF Watton’s Battle of Britain At Home Day for Saturday 17th September 1949. Interestingly there are some errors in the History of RAF Watton – so don’t take everything on that page as gospel! But what an interesting visit to the station that would have bee in 1949!
With the Berlin Airlift in full flow and the realisation that Russia wasn’t as technologically inferior to the West as had been thought, the CSE was under great pressure to increase and advance their work on the development of Radio Warfare equipment and techniques.
